Founding Engineer

Own the embedded systems behind our wearable and help take it from prototype to a product we can ship at scale.

As one of our first engineers, you’ll work directly with the founders and take end-to-end ownership across firmware, sensing and hardware integration. You won’t be handed finished specifications, you’ll help decide what we build, how we build it and what good engineering looks like as the company grows.

• Own and evolve our embedded architecture and firmware
• Build robust embedded software in C
• Integrate sensors and develop reliable sensor fusion and signal processing
• Own communication between the wearable, firmware and our mobile application
• Debug across firmware, electronics, sensors and the complete system
• Drive power optimization, reliability and performance
• Take prototypes through validation, iteration and ultimately production
• Make architecture and technology decisions with long-term consequences
• Establish engineering practices, tooling, testing and documentation as we scale
• Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners during hardware iterations
• Help shape the future engineering team and technical culture

You’re an engineer who likes owning the whole problem, not just one layer of the stack.

• Strong experience building embedded systems and firmware
• Excellent C/C++ skills
• Experience developing products involving sensors, connected devices or robotics
• Strong understanding of microcontrollers, communication protocols and embedded debugging
• Experience with sensor integration, signal processing and/or sensor fusion
• Comfortable debugging problems across software and hardware
• Experience taking a physical product beyond the prototype stage
• Strong engineering judgment and ability to make architectural decisions independently
• High ownership: you identify problems, decide what matters and drive them to completion
• Comfortable working in a small team with incomplete information and rapidly changing constraints

Strong plus

• Zephyr / RTOS
• BLE and connected-device architectures
• Low-power and battery-powered embedded systems
• PCB design and hardware bring-up
• J-Link or comparable debugging tools
• Mobile/firmware integration
• Robotics simulation such as Isaac Sim
• Manufacturing and DFM experience
• Experience bringing a hardware product into series production
• Medical-device development / ISO 13485

There is still a lot left to invent.

We have a real product, real hardware and hard technical problems left to solve. You’ll join early enough to fundamentally influence how the product works and how the engineering organization gets built.

You’ll work directly with the founders, own systems end-to-end and take decisions that would normally sit several layers above you.

No narrow ownership. No maintaining somebody else’s mature stack. Build, test, rethink and ship.
